DigitalWell x Edith

At the end of March 2026, we sat waiting for news that turned out to matter more than we expected. When it came - that Edith Care had been accepted into the DigitalWell Incubator - it felt like confirmation of something we already knew deep down: that we're on the right path, but we don't have to walk it alone.

DigitalWell Ventures has built a genuine hub for health tech across the Nordics and Baltics, based in Karlstad with a network running through Karlstad University, Karlstads Kommun, Region Värmland and VINNOVA. The Incubator program is one of VINNOVA's designated "Excellence Incubators" - not just a nice title, but a mark that they actually know what they're doing when it comes to helping companies like ours grow the right way.

Building a tool for social services and healthcare is rarely just a product question. It's just as much about understanding how a municipality makes decisions, what a public procurement process actually requires, and how you earn trust from people who have watched too many IT projects come and go without solving anything. That's knowledge you can't easily read your way into - you need someone who has already been there and can point out the pitfalls before you step in them.

Since March, the program has given us things that are hard to put a price on: introductions to potential customers in healthcare and local government, access to domain experts who've given concrete advice on everything from data security to procurement law, joint workshops with other companies at a similar stage, and straight-talking coaching ahead of investor meetings. That kind of network and knowledge otherwise takes years to build on your own.

We've sat in rooms with people who asked us exactly the questions we needed to hear, and challenged things we'd taken for granted. It's uncomfortable sometimes, and exactly as useful as it should be.

Lynn Dreierbakken and Stefan Skoglund have been a fantastic help. They've given us a ton of tips and advice, both strategic and operational.

We're a small team building something we care deeply about, and it makes a real difference to have people in our corner who have already seen the road ahead. Thank you for the trust, DigitalWell - we're looking forward to the fall together.
